About

Our congregation was birthed in November 1984 with the theme “Everything Starts New at Calvary.” It is our conviction that the church is not a huddle for the holy but a hospital for sinners. The power of the Gospel of Christ transforms men and women so that lives that were tangled, tarnished, troubled can become lives that are beautiful manifestations of divine grace and wisdom.
To celebrate the power of the gospel, our church focuses on six areas of biblical mandate.

Evangelism. We want all to hear about the provisions of Christ and how we can be saved through simple faith.

Worship.  People who have been forgiven much, love much. Jesus told us that! Worship flows from a heart that has been recreated in the love of Christ.

Christian Education. Saved people need to be discipled in truth so that they understand sound doctrine and know how to apply it to their lives.

Service. Each believer has a spiritual gift and will experience outrageous joy when that gift is discovered, developed and deployed.

Focus. Focus is fellowship. Building relationships of mutual edification and then participating in a community of believers that care for one another – that is the way we show forth the glory of God.

Outreach – local and global. We are zealous to share the message of Christ with our neighbors and the entire world.
A trip to Calvary can erase your past – actually better than that – can take the scars of the past and turn them into stars so that you become “Scarred and Ready.”

Ministries

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. At Calvary Gospel Church, that begins in our own community and spreads overseas to every nation. Our members are involved in over 25 ministries. We want you to have both a fellowship and a ministry. Check out our Ministries page to see where you might get plugged in.

Music & Media

Our music department plays an important role in the Sunday morning service and is also responsible for recording services and creating podcasts and audio CDs so that you can listen to your favorites later.

Sunday School

You and your family—and your friends—are invited to Sunday School every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.  You’ll have a wonderful time of fellowship.  The teachers will enlighten your mind and empower your spirit through Biblical wisdom, Scriptural discussions, and practical lessons. We look forward to seeing you Sunday! Sunday School Classes and Locations (9:30-10:15 am)

Safety Precaution: For the safety of our teachers and children, and the insurance requirements, there must be two teachers in each classroom in the children and youth departments. We have plenty of reserve teachers to help when a teacher has to be absent from the classroom. In such cases, the teacher notifies the Department Director who then provides a reserve teacher.
