Pastor Timothy WoodDr. Timothy R. Wood, Senior Pastor

Timothy Wood began to preach at the age of ten. Throughout his teenage years he preached in local churches around the Baltimore, Maryland region.  At the age of 16 he moved to Cleveland, Tennessee to study Bible at Lee University. A year later he was licensed to preach with the Church of God denomination. He continued his schooling at the University of North Alabama where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Education. He pursued his education with Logos College, Jacksonville, Florida where he earned his Master of Divinity degree. He earned his Doctorate degree in Christian Education from Faith Theological Seminary in Tampa, Florida. He has served as Evangelist, Associate Pastor, Senior Pastor, Christian Education Director, Elementary School Principal, High School Teacher, and College Professor of Biblical Studies. Presently, he is serving in Waldorf, Maryland as Senior Pastor of Calvary Gospel Church and President of Calvary Christian College.

Pastor Richard FosterRichard Foster, Associate Pastor

Pastor Richard Foster has worked in the ministry for more than 40 years.  He is the Pastoral Care pastor for our seniors and teaches a Thursday morning Bible Study Class, Soup & Salad. He has worked at Calvary Gospel for over 10 years. He and his wife, Yvonne, plan special events and host tours, both at home and abroad for Calvary Gospel. They have two children Brandon and Jessica.

Pastor Dana ColemanDana Coleman, Associate Pastor

Pastor Dana has worked with youth for more than 15 years and was licensed and ordained to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in April 2009. Pastor Dana accepted Jesus Christ at 12 years old at an old fashioned camp meeting at West-River Camp in West Virginia. She has been actively involved in the church ever since. Today, Pastor Dana loves spending time with her family and friends in Waldorf, Maryland; traveling and enjoying a beautiful spring or fall day on the beach admiring God’s creation. In 2006, Pastor Dana received her Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies with a concentration in Christian Counseling and continued on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Theology at Calvary Christian College in Waldorf, Maryland. She is currently working on her Doctorate in Theology. Even though Pastor Dana is known for ‘telling it like it is’, humility, compassion, and integrity best describe the ministry of Pastor Dana. She strives to see men, women, teens and children on fire for God, His kingdom, and God’s work for His glory! Pastor Dana’s story is still being written and with great honor she will continue to serve the Lord with gladness throughout the body of Christ.

JulieJulie Coleman, Associate Pastor

Pastor Julie accepted Jesus Christ at the age of 5 at Vacation Bible School in Laceyville, PA. She has been actively involved in church through ministries such as Children’s Church, Choir, and Sunday School ever since.  Pastor Julie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Bloomsburg University of PA, a Master’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering Sciences from University of Florida, and in October 2013 received a Doctorate in Ministry with a concentration in Christian Education from Calvary Christian College. Pastor Julie and her husband Chris, both USAF veterans, have been members at Calvary Gospel since 1998 and are the proud parents of Benjamin, Matthew, Emily, and Elijah.

KylanKylan Edmondson, Associate Pastor

Kylan was born in Memphis, Tennessee.  Following high school graduation, he attended Lee University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Religion. While at Lee, he was an active member of the University’s voice ensemble, Voices of Lee, and has had the privilege of performing across the nation as part of that group; in particular at the 2013 Presidential Inauguration. He has been actively engaged in music ministry over the past seven years, serving as a Director of Music and Worship at his home church in Tuscumbia, AL.

Carol RolandCarol Roland, Office Manager and College Registrar

Carol Roland was born in Shamokin, PA and is a 1979 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology. She and her husband Mike have lived in Waldorf since 1986, and made Calvary Gospel their church home in 1987.  Carol initially worked at the church as a volunteer, where she served as a children’s church worker, choir member, and director of various departments including publications, prayer department, and youth director.  She has served as a staff member since the mid 1990s. Her duties at Calvary Gospel include Personal Assistant to the Senior Pastor, Office Manager and Administrator, to College Registrar.  Carol and Mike are the parents of three children Doug, Alison, and Danny, and have seven grandchildren.

Gloria Mordecai

Gloria Mordecai, Finance

Gloria Mordecai retired as an IT Specialist with the Department of Veterans Affairs after 40 years of federal service.  Gloria joined the church staff in May 2013 as a part-time secretary.  She has been involved with the Missionettes, a Christian ministry for girls and boys (3 years old to 8th grade), for the past 11 years.  Gloria has been an active member of Calvary Gospel since 2000. Being zealous about her Christian faith, she attended Calvary Christian College and received her Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies in 2011. She resides in Waldorf, Maryland with her husband Linton.  They have two grown sons, Stephen and Lance.
