We continue to collect special offerings to assist Pastor Moses Choudary of Maranatha Minsitries in India, for this weeklong outreach to thousands of souls who are hungry to hear the true Word of God, and receive the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ in a nation that is darkened by the delusions of false spirits. Pastor Wood will be preaching several evangelistic services, and then minister to, and train young Indian pastor’s via their annual conference. We are asking you to support this vision with a special offering every 4th Sunday of the month through next July. Also pray about your part in this great adventure and ministry opportunity.
Food pantry needs donations of canned/ dry goods. Open weekly —Wednesdays from 9AM – noon. Place items in designated box in hallway of Family Life Center.
Children’s Church needs workers!
The most valuable members or the church are sometimes the ones who are invisible. Our children’s church workers faithfully minister to the little flock every Sunday and we appreciate them. You don’t see them, but without them, our children would perish from a lack of knowledge of the scripture. Make a point to thank these important people for their work and contribution of time to your children.
Please consider taking your turn to assist in this department. Can you commit to one Sunday a month to help out? Our children rotate from room to room in small groups where different objectives are accomplished. They have time for worship, crafts, snack, missions, and the Bible lesson. Some leaders accompany the children, and others oversee the activities. This is an investment in our future. See Julie Coleman in the foyer if you can help out one Sunday a month. We really need your help!

A teenager’s brain really is different so you need tools to understand how to connect with this sometimes mysterious individual.
According to Richard Knox’s article on the National Public Radio’s website, “Teenagers often seem so maddeningly self-centered. “You think of them as these surly, rude, selfish people,” Jensen says. “Well, actually, that’s the developmental stage they’re at. They aren’t yet at that place where they’re thinking about — or capable, necessarily, of thinking about the effects of their behavior on other people. That requires insight.” And insight requires — that’s right — a fully connected frontal lobe” (Knox, 2010, p. 1).
